ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Programme, Heritage, & Education Manager, the EVENTS
OFFICER position is an office-based, customer-facing role providing a
welcoming, inspiring, informative, and memorable experience for all
visitors to Nano Nagle Place. The successful candidate will be
responsible for setting up conference areas and ensuring the smooth
operation of onsite day, evening and weekend Event activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Welcoming visitors and guests to Nano Nagle Place with confidence
ensuring they have a positive experience through excellent customer
service
* Setting up conference and event facilities, including the
re-arrangement and storage of tables, chairs, etc. in accordance with
the specifications of our visitors and groups
* Assisting the Programme Manager in the organisation,
administration and running of onsite events including our Educational
Programme.
* Acting as the main point of contact for incoming queries on
upcoming events.
* Processing conference room bookings and responding to queries in a
timely manner.
* Arranging delivery of light refreshments to conference and event
guests.
* Following up with guests after onsite events to request feedback
and secure future bookings.
* Facilitating tours of Nano Nagle Place for guests and visitors.
* Any other duties that may reasonably be required from time to time
consistent with the general level of responsibility of the role
ABOUT YOU
* Minimum of 1 years’ experience in an administration role
* Previous experience with setting up conference areas for events
* Previous experience in a customer-facing role is required
* Previous retail experience an advantage
* Exceptional communication skills and comfortable interacting with
the public
* Proven ability to develop and manage stakeholder relationships
* Excellent organisational skills and solutions-focused
* Proficiency in MS Office suite
* Ability to manage multiple projects, deliver results on time and
maintain high standards
* Understanding of Data Protection and GDPR
* This role requires flexibility around working hours including
working evenings and/or weekends, as required
